Our charitable services

Information about our programmes, services and eligibility requirements is provided for general guidance.

Availability may depend on factors including:

  • available funding

  • stock levels

  • programme capacity

  • location

  • eligibility

  • referrals

  • safeguarding requirements

  • available volunteers and staff

Information on the website does not guarantee that a particular service, item or programme will be available.

Donations

Donations made to Level Trust are used to support our charitable purposes and activities.

Unless a donation is made in response to a specific restricted appeal, Level Trust may use donations wherever the need is greatest within its charitable objectives.

Where a donation is made for a specifically restricted purpose, we will seek to use it for that purpose in accordance with applicable charity law.

Online payments

Online payments and donations may be processed through third party payment providers.

When using a payment provider, you may also be subject to that provider’s terms, privacy policy and security procedures.

Level Trust does not normally receive or retain complete payment card or bank account credentials where they are processed directly by the payment provider.

Recurring donations

If you set up a regular or recurring donation, payments will continue according to the frequency and amount selected until the arrangement is cancelled.

You may cancel future recurring payments through the relevant payment provider or by contacting us.

Cancelling a recurring donation will not normally reverse payments that have already been correctly processed.

Donation errors and refunds

Charitable donations are generally treated as gifts to Level Trust.

If you believe that:

  • a donation has been made in error

  • the wrong amount has been taken

  • a duplicate payment has been processed

  • an unauthorised payment has been made

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Requests will be considered according to the circumstances, applicable law and the terms of the relevant payment provider.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you may have.

Gift Aid

Where available, you may be asked whether Level Trust can claim Gift Aid on your donation.

You are responsible for ensuring that any Gift Aid declaration you make is accurate and that you meet the applicable HM Revenue & Customs requirements.

Please tell us if your circumstances change and your declaration is no longer valid.

Fundraising

If you undertake fundraising on behalf of Level Trust, you must act lawfully, safely and responsibly.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, independent fundraisers are responsible for organising their own activities and obtaining any licences, permissions, insurance or other approvals required.

You must not suggest that you are an employee or authorised representative of Level Trust unless we have expressly agreed this.

Volunteer applications

Submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee that you will be offered a volunteering position.

Volunteer appointments may be subject to:

  • application review

  • interviews or discussions

  • satisfactory references

  • identity checks

  • safeguarding checks

  • Disclosure and Barring Service checks where appropriate

  • training

  • suitability for the relevant role

Level Trust reserves the right to decline an application where it considers this appropriate.

Volunteer roles do not create an employment relationship unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

The welfare and safety of children and young people is important to Level Trust.

People participating in activities or volunteering with Level Trust may be required to comply with our safeguarding policies, codes of conduct and reasonable instructions.

Where we believe that a child, young person or other individual may be at risk of harm, information may be shared with appropriate authorities or safeguarding organisations where necessary and lawful.
